The Steam Deck is nearly there with replaceable batteries. You need to have a bit of experience to do it, but Valve doesn't impede on you or your warranty when performing your own battery replacement.

There was just something about the episode that didn't grip me tbh, but it wasn't because of it being closer to reality. I'm bad at articulating that sorta thing outside of music lmao.

Not really. It just felt a little too "out there" in my opinion compared to other Black Mirror episodes. I imagine those who didn't like the Ashley Too/Miley Cyrus episode had similar complaints with Season 5 in general.

It's not the worst episode though. U.S.S. Callister takes that crown for me, there was a glaring plothole with the way the DNA transfer worked. How did the memories of the people whose DNA was collected transferred?

Some of them were given for free if you used the official app. I briefly used the official app before I found out about Apollo, and it gave me a Wholesome award to give.

I ended up giving it to dragon porn.

If I recall, Apollo supported viewing awards but not giving them, and the option to view awards could also be disabled.

While it's not ideal for most subreddits, I do get why they do this in general. A lot of subreddits prior to the API protests already had a Discord server where the community would congregate. I was already in r/deadmau5's Discord server during the COVID pandemic, and it used to be the official Discord for electronic musician deadmau5 and his label to the point where he and his label signees would actually talk in there. That was changed after his management decided to try integrating crypto/NFT shit into it which the owner of the server disagreed with, but the point still stands.

I thought the episode was so-so, especially compared to the two after it, but yeah it did age very well very quickly.

They should've done it during the protests. Either actually threaten to walk out or engage in malicious compliance like r/PICS, even if Reddit does replace them with paid moderators, and direct people to alternatives.

I might get it for the titles alone. The clickbaity thumbnails don't really bother me, but I'd like to have a good title at least.

I did post it on !newcommunities@lemmy.world, where I think a lot of the subscriptions are coming from right now. It's also on !chat@iusearchlinux.fyi here on iusearchlinux.fyi. I don't have Reddit anymore, deactivated during the protests, so I can't post there. I think my main issue is making content for Apple Music because it's literally just a tool to listen to music on. Likely as more news comes in about Apple Music and maybe as it gets more subs, we'll get more content here.

BTW, a preview version of the app on the Microsoft Store now, for Windows 10 as well. It should be searchable, just look for "Apple Music Preview". I remembered trying it in a Win10 VM and it worked just fine, just know it will replace iTunes. There is Cider Classic too but because it's a frontend to MusicKit it's beholden to a lot of limitations (e.g. no gapless playback, no lossless/spatial) so I haven't recommended it on this community.

It depends on how you want your update cycle.

If you don't mind the rolling release type of updates where you get updates ASAP, EndeavourOS does the job nicely. It's based on Arch Linux like Manjaro, but unlike Manjaro it only uses its own repository for its own, distro-specific extra software, everything else is from Arch's repos. If you remember Antergos, it's basically the spiritual successor.

For those who want a stable update cycle, I would recommend either Linux Mint or Fedora. I've had a solid experience with Fedora, but my friends really like Mint as well.

For those who want to be able to mix and match stable and unstable packages, Gentoo is the way to go. The nature of its package management allows you to mix and match stable and unstable versions at your own leisure, at the cost of long compilation times. It depends on whether that's worth it for you, but it's worth mentioning.
