I used to have a Surface when I was at university. They were so much better to lug around than MacBooks or ThinkPads.

Back when I was having issues with the Linux desktop (2016-19), I used WSL to get access to Linux's useful tools. I was always on and off with Linux, mainly due to having components that don't work with it well (mainly to do with NVIDIA and Broadcom WiFi).

Now I'm full-on Linux. Only exception is Apple Music (virtual machine) or some gaming scenarios (dualboot). Stuff like mods that work better on Windows, or steering wheel games (I have a Logitech wheel that works so much better on Windows than Linux).

Should also mention Nobara Linux (which is funnily enough based on Fedora) has Surface Linux patches baked into its kernel.

I'd be surprised, but I remember seeing a website that ran from a scientific calculator iirc. It's still very fascinating though.

According to the article, her friend saw her online and tipped the FBI off, and Nintendo provided them the IP address that last connected to the account.

This looks really nice. I've also not really seen much of Hyprland - or tiled managers in general tbh - with GUIs over terminal UIs.

It's unfortunate, but not much they can do. They have talked about a possible move to Gecko if retaining MV2 should be a priority, but it's not like they can do it in one day and all.

Part of why I've moved to Vivaldi tbh. It feels like Vivaldi is where Firefox should be at right now (besides the Chromium core).

If only Firefox's management had its head screwed on better. I really don't care about Turning Red themes, I have a KDE theme just to keep it matching my desktop. Just make the core browsing experience better. Hell, take some features from Vivaldi. I've noticed a good portion of Vivaldi users back when I used Reddit were former Firefox users, and I can understand why.

Same. It might be Chromium-based but I trust Vivaldi more than Mozilla at this point. Only way they can make the browser better is by being Gecko-based, but what can you do. Mozilla doesn't know what to do with Firefox and it shows.

I actually thought the one after that about the murder documentary was more realistic. More on the drama side of things than a sci-fi but still very Black Mirror.

ChatGPT might get you in trouble with the BBC on 12, considering that's the name of one of their shows. :p
