Custom emojis are already a thing on the Fediverse, so maybe Lemmy/Mbin/Piefed will add support for them. I know that NodeBB already supports custom emojis and it can talk with Lemmy pretty well
I didn't had luck with Revanced neither, however Grayjay works well for me, so I use it. It has it own cons tho
That's just Lemmy for you, a lot of communities on there get brigaded with this topic, including technology and completely unrelated ones
