Jean marie LePen was the founder of the Front National, he was part of the french paratrooper that took part of the suppression of Algerian independence movement. He also alleged took part in an OAS assassination attempt on Charle DeGaulle when he was in the process of granting independence to formal colonies (not for any anti imperialist ideas btw)

Marine Lepen is his daughter, current leader of the Front National/Rassemblement National. She basically rebrand the party to be “politically correct/electorally safe”. She moderated the policy to be a degree more liberal than Orban’s party. Also because the extreme right-wing is now occupy by an another party headed by a dude name Eric Zemmour.
