Most screen sharing tools come with functionality for allowing another person to take control of mouse/keyboard, although it can be a bit laggy compared to more tailor made solutions.

He was also recently on Lex Friedman's podcast, spewing all kinds of half-truths and misinterpretations more or less unchallenged. He did give an interesting recollection of the Cuban missile crisis though.

I don't know what data (if any) he is basing his claims on, but Israel struck a deal with Pfeizer to be the first country to do a large scale/full population trial, in exchange for a speedy rollout and a lot of data gathering (and paying a lot of money, Imof course).

So it's expected that their early and high vaccination rates are reflected in the number of serious infections/deaths.

They all wear Hooka sneakers here - cold country though.

There are other shoes with a lot of dampening in the sole, like Hooka (used by virtually all hospital workers in my country). Personally, I think it's too much and prefer something firmer.

I was kind of impressed of the precision of the advice given - it perfectly explained various FP patterns used in my code, and correctly concluded that it could not be refactored to be better/simpler/more generic, but suggested some good readability renamings. My general worry is that AI tools will hallucinate and/or just provide random or sub-optimal/average solutions.

Do you mean Live Share with an AI, or just as a feature for pair programming with humans? Doesn't video conferencing tools work well enough for that?

Electric toothbrush makes my teeth feel soo much cleaner than a regular one - I used to have lots of cavities due to having extra sets of "inaccessible" teeth behind my wisdom teeth, and even got a prescription toothpaste with extra fluor. But now it's all a breeze keeping them properly cleaned (I do need to use dental sticks with a small brush between every meal though).

On a side note, the book "Functional Programming in C#" has good sideline explanations for what one is missing out on by using a type system that was designed for OO instead of FP.

It's not even available on Google Play app store yet. Giving the Reddit community an impression of further hurdles they need to jump in order to transition to the Fediverse would probably give them even more confirmation bias on their view that it is "too messy" to become the next Reddit.

On a side note, Jerboa in "List" mode is starting to feel like Relay for Reddit, all I miss is the option for thumbnails on the left, and default auto-collapsed view of deep comment hierarchies (with visual color guidance of which level a given expanded comment is at) to avoid scrolling for the next top level comment.
