If someone said "we should ban Mexicans/Polish people/literally any group of citizens", that would immediately get called out as stereotyping prejudice
Change ban Mexicans/polish, to Nazi. Nobody would argue that. That MIGHT be their thought process on this for wanting to ban Americans., I obviously don't know but I wanted dto provide some potential alternate view point

Gotcha! Laws apply for sure and if there was a law/contract (like costco) that said I needed to provide a receipt after purchase, fine. I have no issues but policy well..isn't a law so I revert to my first comment.
