They even went with a drop shadow or outer glow instead of the standard outline.

There’s only one way I’d be OK with “subscribing” to use a LG fridge: I don’t pay anything upfront and I don’t need to pay for any repairs. If I don’t even get to own it, then I shouldn’t be responsible for fixing it when it dies and spoils all my food after a year or two, nor should I need to pay for a new fridge when I give up on it after those repairs inevitably fail again. Same with their TVs when the cheap capacitors die early.

If I subscribe to rent your product, the onus is on you to make it reliable enough that it lasts until the subscription turns a profit.

Since that won’t be their business model, I’m better off buying a half decent brand and then flushing $1000 down the toilet. Fuck LG appliances. (And fuck Samsung appliances while we’re here.)

2 and 6, so I can still get a good night’s sleep after 8 straight hours of cringing.

Honestly whenever I see a game on sale for <$20 and I open it only to see 5+ DLCs that increase the price, I just close the page and move on without even bothering to research whether or not I should buy the DLCs. Fuck that mess.

Looks like it, unfortunately.

They also make Coffee Crisp, which is a shame, as I used to stock up on them whenever I visited.

If you’re in the US, KitKat here is made by Hershey.

But look at Nature Valley “Chocolate Peanut Butter Wafer Bars.” As someone who likes both, they’re not the same - they’re better, as long as you like peanut butter.

Or “I’d offer to start lower and raise it when I prove myself, but I know you wouldn’t honor your end of the deal.”

Try https://lemmyverse.net/communities

It has the sort/filter options I think you’re looking for, and it doesn’t limit info to your instance’s perspective. (It always shows all instances, even if your home instance hasn’t made a connection to one yet, and it shows total subscribers across all instances.)

Click the !URL for an instance to copy it, then paste it in your home instance search bar to go there and subscribe.

Another useful resource is c/trendingcommunities@feddit.nl - not helpful for searching, but handy to check daily after you’ve built your subscriptions and want to see suggestions for growing communities.

Regular search features are lacking a bit due to the nature of federated servers. Hopefully these features will be added someday. Till then, dedicated sites like lemmyverse seem to be the best option.

It means data that has been recorded to your health app - steps per day/hour, sleep hours/analysis, heart rate readings if you have a watch or device that does that, estimated calories burned, etc.

Useful data for you to know and control, but incredibly creepy for a corporation like Meta to take for no reason other than to build an intrusive ad profile.
