Aliens, so hot right now
Lamborghini, California house… How about “I need surgery” or “I want to go to college.” That’s a grain or two of rice, but most people don’t even have one. It’s gross that we worship these people.
People also don’t always realize you need to flush your hot water tank after water is contaminated. At regular usage rate, anything could linger in there for days/weeks, even if new water coming in is fresh. If the cold water is clear, then run the hot water till it’s cold and clear, and then some more.
Although, the town did give instructions for flushing cold and hot water lines, and the residents say they followed them:
Miller, too, said a gasoline smell lingers in his home even though he followed the directions from the city about how to flush his water line. As instructed, he ran cold water through the faucets, followed by hot, then repeated the process.
The more likely culprit is further down:
“These reports are in concentrated areas and the city is currently executing additional main line flushing at these locations, which are predominantly where main lines dead end, such as in coves and courts,” Crockett said.
Sounds like it’s going to be resolved soon one way or another. Probably not going to be a Flint situation, which is what I first assumed by the headline…

No, but people expect wages to increase along with the cost of living, at the very least, which they aren’t for most. So when all these optional services raise prices at the same time, it’s understandable that people are upset that they’re going to lose/drop some services while their paychecks are stretched thin everywhere else. It’s like mourning the loss of something that was already barely worth it.
It’s also annoying when prices go up and 1) there is little or no increase in quality or convenience to help it feel justified, and 2) other alternatives are still cheaper or better value, for now, and 3) there are free piracy alternatives that many folks previously left behind for convenience and because of affordability.
Searching for any question +Reddit and finding multiple answers/discussions related to it that are usually reliable or at least lead to ideas for more research. Especially for finding products and reviews.
I still sometimes look at old.reddit search results even though I don’t have an account any more, but I think those answers will soon become obsolete. And eventually I think new questions will be flooded with low effort trash answers that would make Amazon reviews blush.
I think it’s interesting that Revelation, which fundamentalists and some evangelical Christians believe describes the biblical apocalypse, directly references things that are happening now as signs that end times are imminent: increased major floods, earthquakes, famine, disease, fires, etc.
So it’s pretty fucking ironic that conservative Christians are the ones shouting the loudest that we should ignore these things and claim it’s nothing unusual. Surely the apocalypse couldn’t be a direct result of mankind’s “sin” of raping the earth. Or maybe they know it is and they’re waiting till the 11th hour to whip out of the repentance card.
Especially when human is in kitchen carrying large knife or boiling water
