Episcopal churches are generally inclusive, while going hard on tradition/ritual. If you like classical music and structure, that’s a good place to start. If you live near a university, you’re likely to see some students and faculty there.

United Methodist churches can be very welcoming and inclusive in the US, but there’s a schism going on over LGBT marriage/ordination, so it can vary by area/congregation. You’ll know pretty quickly what kind of place it is. In a few years, the “Global Methodist Church” will be conservative, and United Methodists should be reliably inclusive. You may even see gay and trans pastors at some UMCs.

Anything with Baptist in the name is most likely going to be terrible. There are some rare exceptions though. If they’re politically conservative, you’ll hear about it 5 minutes into the sermon. If you like “contemporary” Christian music then they’re more likely to do that better than others.

Since COVID, you can church shop online lol. Don’t need to wake up early or go travel. You can see the sermon and music any time from home. If a church hasn’t invested in streaming their services at this point, they probably skipped COVID guidelines and killed a bunch of their people, so it’s a decent filter.

Sounds similar to garlic producing optimal allicin about 10 minutes after being minced/crushed. Not only does allicin make garlic more flavorful and aromatic for cooking, but properly prepared garlic was used as an antibacterial before antibiotics were a thing. It’s not nearly as effective as modern medicine, but I once successfully used it to self treat an infected broken glass wound when I didn’t have health insurance. (USA obv.) Now I take it regularly and I “feel” like I get sick less often, maybe…

In garlic’s case, allicin is a self defense mechanism to protect itself from some bugs, and it’s partly responsible for why garlic is so famously easy to grow.

I wonder what other veggies have similar secrets.

My cat says he sees them, and he hates them.

Ancient humans: We don’t know why we’re getting sick. Maybe if we stop mouth and butt stuff, it will help. Let’s make some laws and try it.

Modern humans: We know exactly why people get sick and how to prevent it, but we’re going to enforce ancient laws anyway because it helps us control the rubes.

When people make memes about you using it, you’re supporting the company with good exposure. They should be grateful.

Specifically, top panel man is smoking, bottom panel isn’t. That’s why they look like that. Mystery solved.

And they profit from it. That’s mentioned there too, and it makes it that much more infuriating. They know exactly what they’re doing, and they do it on purpose, for money.

And at the end of the day, they’ll settle (who are the plaintiffs? Article doesn’t say) or pay some relatively inconsequential amount, and they’ll still have gained a net benefit from it. Another case of cost-of-doing-business.

Would’ve been free without the lawsuit even. Lives lost certainly aren’t factored in otherwise.

Swim and wash the cushions in one go. Efficient.

Ok but can he play Bond AND Batman? If not I’d rather he take Batman because the franchise needs to finally be perfected.

I just chip away at my list every time there’s a sale. This time I got God of War, Spiderman, Jedi Survivor, and Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen.

DD was an impulse buy since I don’t know anything about it, but the reviews were good. It was $4.79 and I see there’s a sequel coming later this month, so that’s probably a good deal and a good time to catch up.

But I’ll probably still be “ahh, suffering…” through Elden Ring when the summer sale rolls around…

I use the Target gallon zipper bags, Ziploc gallon freezer bags, and Wegmans quart zipper bags. Wegmans wasn’t tested unfortunately.

The Target zipper is better quality than Ziploc, IMO, because Ziploc’s zipper always falls off. This is an outlier in Target’s mostly-shit quality brands. I’ve got like 100 Target bags left, which would last me about a year. I store 2 lb. bricks of cheese in them, which the article says is bad because it leeches chemicals faster.

🤷 Guess I’ll die. Fuck you Target.
