Thank you these are the stats that matter. I would say the chances on Bears are even lower considering weak roster and bad coaching

Blake Bortles made ridiculous throws in college, how did he work out in the NFL?
Didn’t people say that about Bryce Young last year? Can make all the throws, arm angles, yadda yadda?
Get him great coaching Marvin Harrison Jr and his numbers would improve much much more
Also we all know the Bears would have drafted Bryce Young not Shroud. Young is horrendously bad, much worse that Fields his rookie year
Lamar Jackson would look like Fields if he was drafted to Chicago. Ravens year in year out have one of the strongest rosters, plus Roman custom built a system to cater to Lamar’s talents best. Lamar Jackson would suck in Chicago except for some sizzling runs, Fields gives us sizzling runs too
No we don’t. Most of us weren’t alive when Sid Luckman played. Thing is at the same time most fans have no clue how big a factor coaching and strength of roster is to a drafted QB succeeding. Sure if Caleb was drafted by say the Steelers, he’d probably be functional at the least. The Bears, maybe fully formed QBs like Elway, Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck could do well. However a QB that needs to be developed and good coaching and playcalling to ease him into the NFL? No chance, not in Chicago
Bryce young PFF grade 49.2, Fields 73.8. Rookie Fields was in the 60s. Everyone last year was saying Fields sucks draft Bryce Young! How did that work out. People are expecting Caleb is coming here and with this terrible staff and roster going to light the world on fire like Mahomes or something. Keep dreaming
It isn’t any dumber than thinking Getsy can coach Caleb into a great QB

We don’t have the coaching or roster for a drafted QB to succeed. Maybe Caleb is better, you won’t see it here. He will fail here. Use this amazing draft capital to greatly strengthen roster, fire coach and get a great one. Then once Bears have good roster and coach start thinking about drafting a QB
We could get Penix later in first round too, maybe even second round. Will Levis fell to that last year
