What's that jack? There's something behind me?

The allies should have shot every Nazi officer they got their hands on, but I guess if they did that they would have had no one to run NATO

Lemme split my 100k in Iraqi Dinars between Texas and Florida. I'll also put a gold dubloon on the wildcard bet that the plot of the upcoming civil war movie is right and we get the unholy alliance that is Tex-ifornia

I was going to say white should embrace revolutionary defeatism and move their bishop to e6

I'm wondering how this will all shake out if more states bar him from running?

Make sure to pirate it, the creator of rimworld has some suspect politics to put it lightly

Thanks you heart-sickle , it's not easy losing someone you've known since childhood. He struggled with addiction since highschool, not that I saw it as that back then, and he eventually lost. I was by his side the whole time, right up to the end.

I don't think I believe in an afterlife, but it would be nice to see him again.

Edit: I'm really glad to hear things are going better with you, I hope this isn't overstepping boundaries but I was really happy to hear that you were making progress with your own struggles! I hope you had a really nice holiday with your new partner!

I'm doing better than I have in the past, but still not great. This time of year reminds me of the people I've lost, though I could say that about most of the rest of the year too. It was one of my best friend's birthday a couple weeks ago so I drove out to his grave for the first time since his funeral last March. I saw other people had been there recently, they left flowers. I brought some of his favorite snacks and shared them with him. The whole visit was more cathartic than I expected which surprised me, I never felt like I got anything out of visiting my brother's grave. I don't know what's different this time.

I only played games like CoD, Halo, etc, in parties with friends so I never experienced the lobbies for more than a couple seconds at most, and that was enough for me. I never got why putting up with a bunch of kids screaming or someone who didn't mute themselves arguing with their spouse/partner/parent was a badge of honor. I just want to sit back, relax, and play some games with friends, not listen to someone blaring music over their shitty mic while someone else eats the loudest snacks possible

Lmao was he trying to use a fake troop uncle to shame you? I hope the rest of his made up soldier uncle's get idf-destroyer

[–] FALGSConaut@hexbear.net 22 points 2 years ago (2 children)

You might be perceived as an asshole but those same people probably view that uncle as a hero who died doing the right thing. They are of course wrong on both counts

It's been on my list for awhile, I'm hoping if I am ever in the position to take a rail tour of Asia (ultimate plan is Ho Chi Minh City to Lisbon by rail, with side trips/taking the long way to experience more Chinese high speed rail) I'll be able to take a side trip to Pyongyang. But that's years off, I'll have to finish school, save for a few years, and see what the world looks like by then
