I too want to go to a giant communist gathering that fills a stadium or similar venue! But yea, American "Christianity" is so divorced from what I think of as Christianity it's not even funny. Even what I thought was a twisted imitation in the church my sister's family goes to is nothing compared to a proper megachurch (my sister's church had a paid cafe in the lobby, my dad and I got to have some good jokes about WWJD and running them out of the Lords house)

I 100% agree. Once I broke down in Blackpool and I had a great time after I found a mechanic and dug around a scrapyard to find some discount parts. 10/10 would wander around a dilapidated past-its-prime sea side British town again

Off topic but the concept of mega churches is so foreign to me. Growing up all the churches my family went to were small enough to be on first name basis with most if not all of the congregation, pastor included. We even left one because my dad had beef with the pastor over the existence of hell and whether a benevolent god would allow the existence of hell (the pastor was pro-hell). Comparing that to literal stadiums full of people? I never got much out of church/religion but I can't imagine having any kind of spiritual connection when you're "worshiping" alongside 10s of thousands of people, the grand majority of which are complete strangers to you. What kind of community is even fostered there? I can't imagine they're able to have everyone hangout in the church basement after the sermon drinking coffee and shooting the shit

Crashhawk or osprey?

Also kinda wild you can still just lose an aircraft over the continental united states. I get that they were flying in poor weather over remote and mountainous terrain but it still surprises me.

That's fucking incredible that he's been at the levers of power for decades and he still can't afford medical treatment. How has he not even just stumbled into a book deal or some other light corruption!?

I think some people are exempt. It's like how what they're doing with Biden, McConnell, and the other octogenarians would be elder abuse if it was happening to anyone else. Constantly carting them around, just telling them what to say and how to vote, they're probably shoved into the corner and ignored when the cameras go away. I'd feel bad for them if they hadn't committed their entire lives to destroying the earth and killing God knows how many people

I think I would if I thought about them more. Unfortunately in my neck of the woods even utopianism is rare, it's basically all chuds and slightly more liberal chuds.

Mainly confused and surprised someone would support a monarch in the 21st century. You don't even have the excuse that the queen has been in charge for your whole life so you feel obligated to support her out of a misplaced sense of loyalty or something. Some ancient failson gets to sit in a golden chair and you can't lick his boots fast enough. It's pathetic, you aren't even worshiping someone who can claim they got to where they are on personal merit, he just had to wait for his mom to die and he almost couldn't even do that! Monarchy is such a farce, I'd be embarrassed to support that shit

Bi and pan men are off the hook, phew

Joking aside, I've never been a fan of reclaiming those slurs. If queer people want to describe themselves and find it empowering, sure whatever, but I don't want anyone no matter who they to use slurs to address/describe me. I agree cishet men are particularly shitty when it comes to slurs and insults like that, I've met waaay too many that try to find every conceivable excuse to say the c-word. "It's not demeaning to women, it means buddy in Australian! When I say someone is a stupid c*** I'm not being misogynist!!"
