I also failed to consider this is just the next stage for America. Once they run out of Ukrainians they move on to fighting to the last Pole, Estonian, Romanian, etc

I just don't get it, why are they so desperate to churn people into paste? I can wrap my mind around the ghoulish logic behind fighting to the last Ukrainian, why send your own people to fight when you can dump outdated hardware on a disposable "other" and have them do your dirty work for you. But we've seen what modern war looks like. It's not those easy colonial wars where they're calling airstrikes down on anyone that looks at them funny and casualties are counted in ones and twos. Are they so delusional that they think they're just built different or something?

I can't stop thinking about Zelensky's claim that 31k Ukrainian troops have died and the comparison to how many people have been murdered in Gaza by Israel in a fraction of the same time.

I do take Russia's claims a little more seriously, but that comes from some research I did on the reporting of the Battle of the Somme I did last summer. I read some english newspaper articles from the time and they were the obvious propaganda you would expect, while the article outlining what german papers were saying at the same time was much closer to reality. Of course this doesn't mean I blindly trust everything russian sources are saying but I'm not so fast to dismiss them as it seems most westerners are

I should post it here, it was full of all sorts of brainworms and had a weird focus on both sleazy pornographers taking advantage of refugees and gay men who fled the handmaidens tale government whatever they were called.
