In this case it was most likely upload packet loss on my end. My router is not available for me to mess with and I get random spikes at times. Pretty sure the EU servers were used for this race, as I don't see many americans in the SR10 races. As for mitigation, not much you can do other than minimizing use of WLAN and making your router prioritize the iRacing traffic via QoS features.

Well, all sims I've used got different versions of the same problem. Networking for cars going fast is always a challenge. In AC a while train of cars got wiped out because one car jittered all over the place and collision physics are still active. in iRacing the laggy cars just vanish and then you have to kinda just predict where it might be when the lag stops. At least there are not as many "my planet needs me" scenarios like on AC/ACC.
I suggest you leave links for any mods required so people aren't left wondering if the mod they find are legit or safe to use. On the paid mod side, I'll be skipping challenges requiring them.
"Is that code?" - people seeing my IRC client of old. Yes, I want my IRC back.
No need to apologize. I was being lazy about it and rerecording it would be easy. The deal with AC cams is that with a hotkey I can switch between camera sets. Which is how I switched between the onboards, chase cam and trackside cams. I happened to land on the static cams without realizing it for a moment, and at a time where the car was outside of the view but before triggering the next angle.
I was figuring out the hotkeys for the cameras etc. And I couldn't be bothered to re-do the recording.
I'd be interested. EU central times. As long as the content is common or free I'm good with most ideas.
Coming off of an unsuccessful Spa24 in iRacing i had a good time trying to manhandle this car. I haven't touched AC in years so the physics took a bit to get used to again. Any notes for the car itself has already been said in here and I agree in most of it. Overall I found the car to be quite chuckable, loading it up for Raidillon, tapping the brakes to help it turn in and then pinning it to get it within the limits. Very fun when I figured out how it handled. It did definitely not like curbs however, had to unlearn some GT3 lines due to that.
I left at least a second on the table as far as I can tell. Alas, I don't have that much time to dedicate to this.
Anyway, have a bunch of poor camera choices. https://streamable.com/iqid4q
Thanks! I took the shot just over 10pm. It's in the south-ish part of Sweden. The key part of this for me was the flatter landscape compared to my Norwegian town, so the sun getting that low is a rare sight for me.
Many thanks!
We managed to keep the count to a minimum.
Wasn't having too much fun with this one. The track lacked a smooth physics mesh so the distinct polygons in the track started affecting the physics. Had the challenge been with an F3 or GT3 car I would do it in ACC or iRacing instead.
