Ah yes, rookies. The synchronized spin at the kink (Locally known as "The Angst") is incredibly common.

If you are seeking to make a habit of vids like these, and you are recording in replay mode. Try to turn on mirrors and 1 dynamic cubemap in the settings. Takes some FPS out but as long as it's faster than your recording rate it's fine. And it elevates the fidelity of the video a bit. Good commentary!

One idea is to use a common GT3 car. Such as the Audi R8 LMS 2016. it's in AC, ACC and iR. The track is paid content in both ACC and iR, so there chances of people here having it is good, though the iR version of the R8 is a bit stronger.

Alternatively. RSS Formula 3 V6, it has a very similar power/weight ratio to the IndyPro PM-18 in iRacing.

Fair enough, I can def see where those who take mods from anywhere come from. I just hope these challenges won't rely on it too much.

I've had this discussion with people who worked on content for ACC and the takeaway was that is def not appreciated by the creators or company. They accept that rips and converts is inevitable, so it is up to each individual to consider the source and what they are morally okay with. As game artist myself I wouldn't appreciate my own work to be used outside of the intended context, even if the source was clear.

Either way, that is why I suggested a common car and track combo that can be done without mods in other sims. I don't care what others choose to do, now that I've made my stance clear.

It's just not a quality track. They didn't include a separate physics mesh that are usually far higher resolution than the track you see. You feel each individual polygon in some places like the braking zone after the bridge.

How about this but with a GT3 or GT4 car? Many sims have this track so we're not stuck with a sketchy stolen track. Also to have a break from openwheelers.

It ought to have a physics mesh since they stole the whole track from ACC and converted it. I'll opt to use another sim with a similar car if able instead of using that mod.

I did a 6hrs of Bathurst once, no rain but ACC is def more of a workout to drive than iRacing regardless, with how much more effects and noises and ffb you get. Can't imagine doublestinting as much in ACC as I usually do.

Good, though the move is probably to avoid any issues while the legalities around Art-AI datasets gets cleared up. Further, the SoMe accounts of the artist who triggered this case is plastered with AI generated art and NFTs, so that might have been a clue.

Did a bit of AC, ACC and then iRacing earlier. Driving similar cars at that. the FFB difference was almost extreme between ACC and iRacing, an hour in ACC felt like a workout, iR was a sunday drive. I'm more in control in iR but boy is ACC fun in how much input you get both visually, via audio and in the heavy steering.

Sorry I missed it, didn't realize it was today. If it helps I just thoroughly lost a Ferrari fixed race to atone for my sin. Next time

I frequently run enduros in iRacing with my permanent team. I posted a Spa24 summary a while ago, where we had many little mistakes over time causing us to quit when we fell too far behind. Looking forward to the Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta later in the fall though. Also rain will be quite interesting.
