I was a leash kid in the early 90s. I do not feel dehumanized knowing that was the case, like some of these childless reactionaries in the comments are claiming.

Wrong, it's perfectly normal.

From the sounds of things, you are not a parent trying to comment on things you know nothing about. The leash actually gives toddlers freedom they wouldn't otherwise have. It lets them walk around, with some constraints, instead of being stuck riding in a stroller all the time. Kids at that age will jet off real quick. You take your eyes off then for a second and they're gone.

No it's not?

They make leashes specifically for toddlers. They're pretty common.

You don't give him the work until he pays you enough for it. This is why you negotiate up front. Anyone who won't agree to a price ahead of time is trying to screw you over

They sold immediately before the announcement. They knew the exact timing to gain the most money they could, using their prior knowledge. They weren't guessing what would happen in the vague future. They had concrete knowledge the announcement was going to happen, how much the tariffs were for, and when.

I imagine that number is off by an order of magnitude

Most office workers are categorized as computer work, which was lobbied to be exempt from paid overtime laws.

Not if you also pay all the people who would enforce that law

We got the new deal it of the great depression though. It took Republicans many decades of dedication to dismantle what we gained from that.

Having cans before can openers makes sense though...

It's Footlong® not foot-long. Not to be confused with an actual measurement or size guarantee.

Well that explains the shrinkflation
