Wow holy fucking shit. Is there more footage of this meeting?

EDIT: didn't find footage but did find this article. I'm not familiar with this publication at all but seems to be mostly a factual retelling. Apparently he was interrupted by the mayor and asked to leave after saying that the local police department was pro-domestic abuse because they employ a domestic abuser.

EDIT 2: The article I linked actually links to a local source that has a much longer video. The dude in the video actually called the mayor and the chief of police facists.

The problem I have with this view is that AI "reading" a book is not the same as you or I reading. It doesn't actually learn it's just predicting the most likely sequence of words to be a response to whatever prompt it receives. In that sense, the words are just data, not actual words. Given how valuable data is in this day and age, I think it makes perfect sense for OpenAI to have to either: only use public domain/authorized works, or pay the creators for their work.

Evers was unable to undo the $32 million cut to the University of Wisconsin, which was funding that Republicans said would have gone toward diversity, equity and inclusion — or DEI — programming and staff.

How on earth do you justify cutting funding for diversity, equity, and inclusion?? Are those not things we as a country want to promote?

Whenever I see his name now I always think of this interview he did with Jena Friedman. Her composure through the whole thing is incredible

And the effects will be

While the effects you list don't seem entirely implausible, you're stating these hypothetical situations as if they are already fact and we have evidence to indicate that. I agree with @substill in that I don't see Threads being a threat to small communities.

Woah. Never really thought of it like that. One of those "well duh" things that we just take for granted and forget about

Will you also need a pilots license to purchase? I wonder where you would even be allowed to transition from driving to flying...
