I guess you're right. Maybe it is about spying after all.

Yet no known active exploits use this insecure architecture to cause actual harm. It's just another FUD.
No one stops you from moving to Wayland. It has it's uses. But the FUD you're spreading is stupid and boring. X is fine, it's exactly what a lot of people need and it doesn't make sense to move their DEs to Wayland only because it's 'new'. The fact that it took Wayland 10 years to reach any sort of usability shows just how little does it offer to an average user.
Sure, activity in the repo and new versions don't prove the project isn't abandoned... Maybe you just don't know what abandonwere means?
HE SAID IT'S ESPECIALLY USEFUL FOR CRACKING OLD GAMES!
This is FUD. Here's a security fix from a month ago: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/xserver/-/commit/541ab2ecd41d4d8689e71855d93e492bc554719a
Abandonware my ass...
It's a bit stunning how many people just don't get this. The laws say you can't discriminate people based on their race, religion or sexuality for a reason. If you accept this behaviour you basically saying that discrimination is fine and legal. This means corporation can stop hiring LGBT people, businesses can stop serving them, private school can reject their kids. Legally it's the same. This is not about one guy rejecting a customer. He could just say that he's busy, no one will force him to work. This is about him saying that this is specifically because of their sexuality and and the courts trying to legalize discrimination. And some people claim that this entire case was made up on purpose: https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/2023/09/24/alliance-defending-freedom-wedding-lawsuit/
The fact that people don't understand how this works is just stunning.
I say... bring them!!
What type of work? I can work.
So you say I will not get much money on OF?
We need moar Linux memes!
Seriously, more Linux memes please.
I was building a floppy drive Linux distro for file recovery. I had it mounted under /mnt and wanted to do 'rm -rf ./home' inside /mnt but did 'rm -rf /home'. I noticed quickly and hit Ctrl+C but still a lot of files were gone. Fortunately my file recovery distro was nearly finished so I've booted it and recovered all my files. I never had to use this distro again.
