You don't think the popular culture is telling woman that having kids is the most amazing thing and if they don't have them there's something wrong with them? That a very common trope. Couples separating because one doesn't want children, women obsessing about having children, getting depressed when they can't. Silo and Good doctor are examples I've seen very recently. And what about 'child-free' couples in TV shows? Can you think about any? 20% of adults don't want kids yes in TV that's still pretty much non-existent.

The only surprising thing here is that people are surprised by this. Of course there are no regrets. The only reason people regret this is because popular culture keeps telling us that women is not a real women without kids. Get pass that BS and you'll be fine without kids. You will also have more time, money and less stress.

Who made you think it's weird? I did it at 38 and all I got from doctors was "how many kids do you have? None? I have 2 and your making the right choice". Seriously. Also, why would you care what anyone thinks? Also, no one will know. You don't have to tell anyone.

Yes but aren't game developer experts on gameplay balance? Why would they listen to feedback from some amateurs? It's the same with movies. People who designed Sonic for the movie were also experts, right? Yet they listed to feedback.

But we have early access video games. You can start playing when it's in alfa, give feedback. Is it really that bad for creators?

Yeah, I don't know. In the age of remakes, reboots and huge franchises can we really say that we watch shows for the story? Is any of the Marvel movies about the story? You always now how it will end. If you read the script of Guardians of the Galaxy would it really spoil the movie? I think those movies are actually more about 'being involved'. Same as Star Trek or Star Wars. It's about following, being a fan. Story is the weakest part of those movies. It's all about CGI, action sequences and 'fan stuff' like callbacks, references and so on. I think showing what's happening on the green screen wouldn't actually spoil anything and would be really interesting to the fans.

And regarding fans ideas Sonic comes to mind. They released the trailer, fans complained and it got fixed.

But I not saying that all the shows should be made like this. For some (most?) I wouldn't work. I'm just saying... wouldn't it be interesting to see the entire process for a show like this?

Kind of a random though but do you think we will ever see shows done in a more connected way? I mean as of now, all the shows are always done in secret. Why not involve fans in the process? Publish videos from the set as you film and get feedback? Publish scripts, test footage and so on. Yes, the element of surprise would be lost but wouldn't it be nice to see how the show is made and they see the final product? And maybe even influence it a little bit? I would love something like that. What do you think?

Edit: interesting. Looks like only I would be interested in seeing how a show is made.

My EV has 280km range and it's a bit short. I would prefer to have 450km.

Reasons:

  • charging above 80% is slow and bad for the baterry, you also don't go to 0% before charging. so on most days I don't actually have 280km range, more like 200km

  • I drive more during the weekend, usually just around 200-300km. I can charge for free at work but with 280 range I can't charge for the whole weekend which would be nice and would reduce my costs to nearly 0

  • on longer trips 280km means a stop for charging about every 2h. Make it 3h and it would be perfect

280km is enough for daily driving but in my case, 50% bigger battery would a big improvement overall.

Last year I bought new Citroen e-berlingo for 25.000€. It would be €32.000 without subsidies but still not 60.000.

I don't think I'm optimistic at all. Police departments already pay out damages. It's not some wishful thinking. Police already lie, plant evidence, threaten witnesses and make deals with criminals. And they still do lose civil cases and pay. Of course it only happens in the most extreme cases but it does actually happen. If each such case meant they lose money they would try not to have such cases. How? By getting rid of the most aggressive officers. It would not fix all the issues but it would help.

If think it should be up to the team. If they think it's useful to meet at the office they go be it weekly, monthly or quarterly. My commute is like 15 minutes so I don't mind going to the office at all but the experiences is way worse now that it's hybrid.

GTFO, wrapped is the best. I get to learn I'm like top 0.5% listeners of my favourite bands. I'm the biggest fan! I win!
