I'm right there with ya. And so are a lot of tankies. Though, most of them think that they'd survive because the party will protect them

Tankies try to argue at the collapse of the United States is universally a good thing and that everybody in the world is going to be better off when that happens. So therefore, whenever the United States is in turmoil, they're happy

I don't have any issues with crypto, but it's more so the people who promote it. They tend to be techno-billionaires Who want to make something needlessly complicated and expensive or else creating a currency that has no real value. The other issue is that it's computationally expensive and not as good for the environment as other payment methods.

I myself, am a proponent of cbdc, but the government has outlawed any creation of a consumer cbdc

One thing that you might be able to do is make your own exclusive instance of lemmy. It's one of the big advantages of Lemmy. That allows you to have more control on where things are seen not seen

I'm crying right now. I want to help someone like that one day. I want things to be easier for the people who come after me

This article is kind of bizarre because it has staggering amounts of Zionism as well as anti-imperialism directed towards America. Apparently the United States is trying to force a ceasefire there? Could have fooled me.

Those talking points aren't really going to help these socialist cause at all. It's not going to organize workers or put together a popular platform, and cares more about anti-americanism than the working class.

They are so close. But this reeks of being the party of edgy University graduates, and not the party of the working class. Socialist parties need to get back to organizing labor instead of grandstanding about things that workers do not care about

We better start a war in Africa, because I'm a little bit rusty on African geography

I definitely can see this policy making more extremists instead of less. If you can't go home and work, and are accused of being a fighter, then what's to stop you from becoming a fighter?

One has to make ends meet somehow. And unemployment is a bit of a plague. Unemployed fighters are how we got Isis in the first place

They're going to be less effective than the lawyers they have right now, replacing the Harvard grads with hacks

I'm not too surprised. Especially if you study the economies of places outside of the USA.

Digging through a meme that I probably found in 2014. I guess I kept it around for a reason Some people aren't really that smart, but they more than make up for it in heart

Apoligy for bad English

Where were you when USAID was kil

I was at home eating nacho

I hear my friend

"USAID is kil"

"no"

I gotta post something, so I'll post the mechanical calculator that the flight school wanted me to get. How it works is that you can set ratios in the dial and multiply them. In this picture, it's 60:10 (or 60:1.0) so I can take any number from the inner circle in minutes and find out how many hours that is equal to on the outer circle.

There are also other things on this calculator, including a wind vector calculator, and charts. Most pilots don't use these anymore, but they still wanted me to know how to use one
