I never got that from minivan commercials. They mostly focused on storage capacity without needing to get a full size van, not really family. Family was more incidental because someone without a bunch of kids didn't need the space.

The Thin Man series is worth commercials for.

I love Katamari Damacy. The story is so ridiculously out there, but the gameplay is super fun.

Barron would be a dog's name in Boomer times. Ivanka a call to Russia in the cold war, and Jared would be a trendy Millennial name.

Re: Vampire. It can be, but doesn't need to. It's set in the real world, so it's as depressing or not as our world can be.

Part of the reason toxic kids and parents exist is because administration doesn't support teachers either. It's an entire system of issues.

I really only saw it in threads specific to it, which were pretty scarce on Lemmy since I had stopped going to Reddit by that point except for one subreddit. Now there was chatter in that spot about the movie, but that was mostly about how one of the groups on the soundtrack was imploding themselves rather than the movie itself.

The only place I saw it in the wild was my local coffee shop made some drinks based on the movie. I'd also seen some advertisements prior, but that was months and months before release.

I guess you need a better adblocker?

You could use one of those too.

I like my chomchom, which is basically a double red lint brush on rollers with a storage spot for the fur to be easily removed after use. So you can do an entire cat tree before needing to stop to remove fur from the device.

You and I pronounce 'quay' very differently.

5e isn't Vancian casting though.

Vancian casting is so much worse.

Some people are just never going to learn them.
