Nah fuckem, I uninstalled today after this and seeing how they implemented:

  1. The most toxic bit of powercreep from the main TCG (basics that have free attacks)
  2. Supporter card abilities that got put onto EX cards as once-per-turn abilities

The gacha-ness of it all just caught up to me

We measure drugs, pools, and PC temps in metric

Grams for drugs unless it's seized by the police, then it's kilos 😂

Pools in meters (or yards depending on location)

And PC temps are always Celsius

Metric isn't scary, we just use it for random things and it makes no sense

We also do alcohol in ml (750ml bottles are standard) unless it's beer which is usually in 12oz cans.

Nothing makes sense

Like the other commenter said - people recommend them for peace of mind so you don't have to think about knowing a password for the 2653rd account you set up once and are never using again. It's the next best thing to just remembering complex passwords.

I've used Dashlane for years, personally, but I know people here will immediately shut that down for not being FOSS. Bitwarden is FOSS but requires some technical setup and has no redundancy.

Don't get me wrong, I love self-hosting as much as the rest of us but I'm not trusting my server from 2013 with all my passwords to everything.

Thought I'd search TPB based on other comments to check. No dice unfortunately.

Imo it looks closer to MagicFrogPrints' stuff on Etsy here

Anyone have a non-instagram version of the video?

I'm a new Bazzite (nvidia) user, but I use Linux in various flavors for self-hosting already so I'm not a complete newbie.

I'm personally ok with the immutability of the os on my desktop, I'd rather be more free to break things in my homelab environment than lose an OS install on my desktop because I flew too close to the sun.

I 100% understand the appeal though.

This was certainly a day of school for me

The game was ahead of it's time in terms of combat. It felt janky at times but it plays like a souls-like with how slow and deliberate you need to be once enemies start having proper counters to what you do.

And the time dagger mechanic was always fantastic to me conceptually.

Here's hoping Ubi doesn't fuck it up beyond belief.

I was in a similar situation, but as the boyfriend at the time

I'd driven 1.5hr away to see my then girlfriend at college. We went out for groceries and were just pulling into her campus, making a left on a yellow when a cyclist went straight on a yellow. She flipped over the hood of my car and broke her collarbone.

I'd almost come to a complete stop when the actual collision happened but was still on the hook for the fines and license points for failing to yield.

The girl I hit didn't press charges or anything. And as far as I'm aware she's doing ok.

Despite the trauma, I kept driving out of necessity, I had to get 80+ miles home somehow and I definitely wasn't going to Uber from there.

Now we got married, and we both have long commutes for our jobs (in opposite directions unfortunately, we just moved to a more central spot for it) and our jobs require travel between multiple locations throughout the day.

Quitting driving would've kept us from job opportunities that allow us to have the lifestyle we live today.

I don't think you're overreacting, but imo you shouldn't let something like that define your adult life. Accidents happen, and this was probably the best-cass scenario in your case.

Linus? That you?

I saw the lack of content here and thought I'd share my story

I first discovered IF back in Dec 2018, and did it all the way through the start of 2020. I (5'6") went from 240lb down to 195.

Then well, that thing we all went through in 2020 happened and I eventually stopped. It was also a hugely transitory period in my life and I let my weight come back on. (I moved out of the house, in with my now wife, changed jobs twice, moved again... All in the midst of the pandemic and its related insanity)

Now I'm in a much better spot, but I've put everything I lost back on and more.

That said, I've now gone from 250 to 240. Trying to eat lighter, snack less, and be intentional about my macros. I like sticking to a 16:8 window, but I shorten it if it makes sense on a given day.

I remember the community being a huge motivator, so, Good luck out there!

I've missed this series for a long time, and I'll never forgive Epic for dropping it like a baby giraffe.

It plays pretty well on my gaming rig, but I'd love to hear about how it plays on lower-end systems. Maybe I'll install it on my 2-in-1 so I can use the touch screen.
