They are safer than an asswipe glued to their Galaxy or iPhone.

The amount of people I see visibly fucking with their phones while driving (often at high speed) is really unsettling. In my day to day driving, I'm far more concerned about people on their phones than I am people stoned. They represent different hazards, but stoned drivers tend to be much more predictable.

Personally though, my fight is against a culture of car dependency.

Amen to that. Car-centric infrastructure has so many negative effects on society and the environment that go way beyond the issue of people driving while high. Reducing car dependency addresses so many problem at once.

Perhaps you are right and she is the beginning of it. It will be interesting to see if she picks up a lot more support once the election is over and the focus is no longer on blocking Trump.

There is a trade-off between efficiency and durability on incandescent light bulbs. They did sell bulbs that lasted longer, but those had lower lumen/watt.

For generic bulbs, the cost of electricity was significantly greater than the cost of the bulb. It was cheaper to replace bulbs more frequently than to waste electricity.

There should have been only one.

I think after this cycle we see the progressive block moving back to being ‘independents’

The thing is, we need to start jockeying for position immediately. Don't wait until presidential campaigns start rolling around in 3 years before signalling a departure. These things take years to pick up steam.

The 2 that bother me are lose/loose and rogue/rouge.

I got the same result, also not logged in w/cookies cleared.

I ran the test with DuckDuckGo and did get "can my husband find out who I voted for", though it was near the bottom of the auto-completes.

People need to remember that Rashiba Tlaib is Palestinian-American.

This is not some just some overseas event, but rather a severe personal grievance. It's difficult to imagine a more pressing issue.

The stress of being wary for long periods of time will make you weary.

Toyota tends to stick with proven tech and does it the right way, rather than pushing the envelope on half-assed implementations.

I'm a big fan of assists where I am still actively driving. They are there if I make an error (e.g. drift to the edge of a lane) rather than doing the driving for me.

Lane-keeping is actually on by default in my vehicle, and I find it to be a nice feature. Lane-centering feels too weird for me, so I've tried it out but am uncomfortable using it.
