So you're ok with centrists supporting and actively protecting perpetrators of genocide?
EndlessNightmare
Driving is the highest-risk activity that the average person engages in on the average day.
It's dangerous, stressful, time-consuming, and expensive. I also think it is a significant contributing factor to our sedentary lifestyles and expanding waistlines. I'm resentful that the decision to go with automobile-based infrastructure was decided before I was even born and that I've never had a viable opportunity to vote against it.
What I really hate is that driving is a privilege. But not needing to drive (i.e. walkability, bikeability, and good transit) are also privileges. Fucked either way it would seem.
I've worked with a number of workaholics over the years. A few have straight-up admitted that they were taking on extra work to get away.
Tired of winning yet?
Giving up work-life balance in the pursuit of "winning" leads to a Pyrrhic victory, assuming that you even actually win.
DNC will throw an election before moving to the left. Particularly when the topic of discussion involves a certain rogue nation in the Middle East.
It pisses me off to no end when people conflate legitimate criticism of Democrats with tankie rhetoric.
Last election season went something like this:
Progressives: "Please stop sending weapons to a genocidal maniac who is using them to murder children in order to grab land. And stop actively protecting said genocidal maniac from consequences in the international community."
Establisment: "STFU tankie!"
"Last season's winners"
"No. Last season's losers"
This one is really good. It's definitely some commiseration.
I think they're going for a more self-deprecating theme here.
Yep, can't fix it in our lifetime
