Dental plan ... no more fluoridated water

With regards to Israel / Palestine, watching this unfold under Biden reminded me of the scene in Saving Private Ryan where the one soldier was going "shhh" while pushing a knife into the other soldier. And someone else watching but not doing anything about it.

Remember that Biden flat out lied to the American public. He will be remembered for his complicity in genocide, and there is absolutely nothing he can do to prevent this legacy. History is written by the victors, but younger generations get the last word.

Trump is certainly worse for Americans, and I voted with this in mind, but both sides are fucking awful for Palestinians. Lest we forget Chuck "my job is to keep the left pro-genocide" Schumer.

And collisions will be at a lower speed since no one will be blasting straight through the intersection. Unless someone really fucks up.

Can't speak for other nations, but driving is pretty much mandatory in most parts of the U.S. And the parts that have good transit and/or walkability are also the more expensive areas. Our car-centric infrastructure is very ableist.

They say that driving is a privilege. But not having to drive is also a privilege.

I'd gladly opt out of driving if it were reasonable to do so. Give us transit and proper bicycle infrastructure so I that don't risk getting pancaked but some fuckwit driver with their nose in their phone.

Note that I've been driving for over a quarter century without collision or moving violation, so not so much a skill issue per se.

U.S. government: cuts aid to help children in need

also U.S. government: provides aid to a genocidal regime that has killed, and continues to kill many children

also also U.S. government: we're "pro-life"

Yup. I take the Martin Luther King Jr.'s "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.” quite seriously.

People try to counter with "but why do you care about something happening over there on the other side of the world." Morality and ethics aside (I understand that this is a huge asterisk), even from a purely self-interested standpoint they clearly don't understand the big picture.

then yes I think logically it would mean people funding the war crimes in any capacity would then be war criminals themselves

Maybe this is why so many Americans (including myself) are absolutely fucking furious and speaking out about Israel's war crimes and America's direct support of it. I don't want to be complicit and want there to be zero confusion on this matter. I want to distance myself from it as much as possible.
