It's not bad though. Zoom is great. Apparently their leadership sucks, but as a product its always done what I needed it to do without issue.

Aren't Gen Z boys largely voting R? I don't think it works quite like you are suggesting. That presumes the party will just die out, but that's been predicted since like the 1980s and that just hasn't happened.

No, but it's going to take a pretty good ding to eat that Evergrande turd.

How exactly is China going to take over our financial systems?

Yeah it's more or less the same as current Reddit, just a smaller community. Bots and bad actors unfortunately exist in a way they simply didn't 10-15 years ago.

I'd say less so. There wasn't much by way of disinformation campaigns and bots back when Reddit first started so the posts and comments felt more genuine and organic. Even with Kbin/Lemmy being much smaller, there's still a ton of weird shit that gets posted here or comments that feel really suspicious. It would be nice for that kind of environment to make its way back, but it seems those days are over.

Kamala Harris sucks. Does anyone really consider Harris a POTUS contender besides maybe herself? She's stiff and boring as a figurehead, and infuriating when I remember how she built most of her career. I sincerely hope she just goes away by 2028.

The US has never pretended to be a pure democracy. It's a representative republic. A truly democratic system would work fairly poorly in most places.

Russia, probably.

It's not a honeypot. It's a genuine company. I am not sure if what they do is actually helping anyone but to my knowledge the treatments are pretty expensive.

Yeah I get a lot of those as well. Anxiety, ADHD, and autism stuff mostly. I keep shooting down the ads as I suffer from none of these things. No idea why it keeps pushing that crap.
