More likely the "president, congress, and senate" that's doing the heavy lifting here IMO. If I had to put money on it I'd probably guess it was usually like straight R and then like he'd vote for Joe Manchin and be like "see I voted for both Republicans and Democrats"

Idk I feel like this would be more of a Boardwalk Empire kind of situation or similar since you've got different products for the enterprise to push. You've got T, E, puberty blockers, possibly underground surgery centers, people needing fake documents.
I had one of them in my left arm right at like the bottom of the shoulder muscle. Only thing that happened with it was the pore like... Stretched out until it was about the size of the pump needle you use for like a basketball. Even after finally getting the hair out of it the pore never fully closed back up. I like to joke that it's my vaccine injection port but it's like an inch or so too low for where they usually put them.
The reason people "don't support it" is because these fucks haven't given them a reason why supporting it is okay. On so many issues the Democrats simply refuse to do anything to counter the right wing framing.
If all you have to say when the right screams about "boys in girls sports" or "trans surgeries for prisoners" is that you don't support that, then of fucking course the public isn't going to move towards supporting trans people. The right is telling them that a boy can just one day on a whim say "I think I'm a girl actually" and immediately the doctors will chop off their penis and give them estrogen injections so they can play on the girls team.
That's some "unwavering" support alright. The problem isn't that you "go too far" on trans rights, it's that you fundamentally refuse to message effectively on it to actually counter the hate the other side is spewing.
They've been running on transphobia for years now. Not having figured out good counters to the talking points on the party level is basically political malpractice at this point.
Last numbers I saw is that Trump more or less got the same amount of votes as 2020 while Harris got 15 million less votes than Biden.

If I had to guess it's because JD is more of a general physician. Strange was a neurosurgeon before the accident that crippled his hands and led him to study the Mystic Arts. So not only can he not perform surgery anymore without magic but if he was working on you, then you were pretty much in life or death territory anyway.
