No real reasoning behind it for me. I got a smartphone much later than my friends. My two closest friends used iPhones. The brand was the best known. I never really thought about starting out with anything else. And now it’s just what I use. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Absolutely. I’ve gone through those settings. There are tons. As long as you have it ready for him, he should be able to make great use of it. I wish I could give suggestions but I’ve only used a few. But there are so many that they should accommodate practically any condition.

The only thing I would say is a newer phone, well not that new, after the era of the bigger iPhone. It started with the 11. Get the biggest one and there is a magnifying glass, but I don’t know if it can be automatically enabled. You can make the print huge though. And you can set something that describes pictures. I’m 90 % sure the last one is on the iPhone. A friend uses it. Pretty sure it’s iPhone.

I upgraded because my iPhone 13 doesn’t ring anymore and there are other sound issues.

I had to buy a bunch of new stuff because of the port. That’s new. It’s also green and has a new case or will when it gets here. The camera probably takes better pictures. Really I don’t know what to tell you. One way I make new iPhones have an extra new feeling is not downloading the new iOS on my old phone. Then whatever changes are in that are new to the phone. Also I read something about dynamic island, but that seems like an annoying feature.

I use my latest old model when I have to send my new one for repairs, which happens every damn time.

Really sorry about your phone.
