The church would demand resources be allocated to it. I dont want to live in a post revolutionary society where our working class run state is paying to run churches, temples, the like... The church has so much material wealth, I dont see it working out, they're losing that land.

where I live farmers are buying up all he land they can and employing almost exclusively migrant workers. Locally farmers aren't even close yo working class, but a lot of good work is done bh unions organising farm labourers
I remember reading years ago that CAKE were going to stop touring, and only play shows at 'home', and people were pretty irate about it where I spent time online, but now artists are 'not touring for the environment' and they're being celebrated haha
