Hey everyone. So I have an iPhone XS Max (yeah it's old), and according to GPS reports from the forest service, it's just (about) as accurate other iPhones for GPS: https://www.fs.usda.gov/database/gps/mtdcrept/accuracy/index.htm ... Claims that I should be able to get 3-5m accuracy at best, and more like 11-13m accuracy in the woods/city/etc. Which actually seems about right.

Well I'm using some apps (specifically for disc golf) where I'd really like to have a lot better accuracy. I mean, if you are laying out a path (or disc golf course in this case), having a 40ft accuracy difference, on either end, means a 175ft hole might get measured as high as 255ft, or as low as 95ft. (and even in best cases, a 15ft difference adds up.

I was trying to do some research on how to get better accuracy. I was hoping to find something like an external antenna that I could add just to increase accuracy a bit more. Like getting down to 1m accuracy. But for every website saying 'add an external antenna', none seem to exist? Looking more, I found some devices like the GLO 2 which don't seem like they'll be really that much better, claiming a 3m accuracy. Or you end up with something crazy expensive ($5000) that gives sub-centimeter accuracy.

What am I missing (or am I not). Are there not any ways to just 'boost' a little bit, via an external antenna or separate device? Without going to extremes?
