Nice. That's a good idea and I'm happy that the BBC is taking these kinds of steps. Followed the R&D account. Thanks!

I've gotten the automatic1111 Photoshop plugin to work pretty well.

Can't believe how close PIA was. My opinion of him is really starting to flip this season.

This app is quite nice, albeit somewhat minimalist, yet it gets the job done if you prefer not to use the web interface.

That's my understanding of it. It is apparently common in the rodent family.

Lifespan: Chinchillas have a long lifespan, and potential owners should be prepared for a commitment that could last 10 to 20 years.

Social creatures: Chinchillas are social animals and may benefit from having a same-sex companion to prevent loneliness and boredom.

Special diet: They require a specialized diet consisting of high-fiber hay, chinchilla pellets, and occasional treats. They should not be fed sugary or fatty foods.

Dust baths: Chinchillas need regular dust baths to keep their fur clean and healthy. The dust absorbs excess oils and moisture from their fur.

Temperature sensitivity: Chinchillas are sensitive to heat and should be kept in a cool environment, ideally between 60-70 degrees Fahrenheit (15-21 degrees Celsius).

No water baths: They should never be bathed with water as their dense fur takes a long time to dry and can lead to health issues.

Chewing habits: Chinchillas have constantly growing teeth, and they need appropriate chew toys to prevent dental problems.

Escape artists: Chinchillas are excellent escape artists, so their cages and play areas need to be secure.

Regular exercise: They need opportunities for exercise and playtime outside of their cage.

Veterinary care: Regular check-ups with an exotic pet veterinarian are crucial to monitor their health and catch any potential issues early on.

Quiet and calm environment: Chinchillas are sensitive to loud noises and sudden movements, so a calm living environment is beneficial for their well-being.

Time and attention: Chinchillas are active and curious animals, requiring daily interaction and mental stimulation.

So. Much. Poop.

thanks! I think my next iteration would be a triple monitor stand. Right now I'm using an Ikea desk and 2 monitor arms which is not ideal because of monitor sag. I'd like them a little closer and lower which is not possible atm.

This is been pretty much a budget build, but I'm super happy with it so far.

Why would I use that over Lemmy?

[–] Elegast@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Why don't followed tags show up in my feed on pixelfed

[–] Elegast@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 years ago

No idea. I mainly follow tags lol

I’ve been rocking OTA 2.9 on my Polestar 2 for a few weeks now, and I have to say, it’s been an impressive update.

One of the standout features for me has been the improved efficiency app. It’s a fantastic addition that I’ve been enjoying watching the graph change based on my driving and the road.

There was a poll a while back about Pilot Assist holding too far to the right or left. It was interesting to see mixed responses. Some folks agreed while others claimed they hadn’t experienced the issue at all.

I was one of the unlucky ones who experienced a problem on a particular stretch of highway where Pilot Assist would uncomfortably stick to the right side of the lane. However, with update 2.9, I haven’t encountered this problem again on the same stretch of road. It’s worth noting that there haven’t been any documented changes to how Pilot Assist functions, nor any modifications to the road (like repainting the lane markings, for instance).

All in all, I believe the 2.9 update is a significant step in the right direction for the Polestar 2. It’s great to see the company actively working on improving the driving experience. Kudos to the development team!
