Broke up with a really cute, fun person because they didn’t take care of themselves and I couldn’t see that going well in the future. They died of a stroke a couple years later.

Four. Sign language, Mandarin + Mandarin hand signs, Spanish, English - and yes, I do use the other languages to entertain myself.

Early aughts in international relations class they were still teaching students about China being a “sleeping giant” just beginning to come into its own economically speaking. At the time it was emphasized that they had a huge army but it was not well trained in combat. Tianamen and the transition of HK were in the very recent past so it seemed China was more interested in managing internal divisions than challenges on the international front.

This happened last game sesh! I was ready for them to be confronted by my badass NPC only to be reminded they had already befriended him several months ago.

Cheech Marin at an art show/book signing. He was every bit as affable as I had hoped.

I can make it on my own?? I can’t believe you have your life so well put together. I like cats better than dogs now?

My cat making what I call his “wretched meow” like he is the tiniest baby cat left out in the cold and needs cuddles right now.

Also, the sound of my neighbors’ kids playing outside is the sweetest thing.

Are you from Texas? There was a restaurant chain there back in the day that served a pie very similar that consisted of a crisp whipped cream meringue(?) mixed with crumbled saltines. It was absolutely divine, I found the recipe a few years ago but I failed to make the pie of my rememories.
