I think the profanity filter used to be non-optional on iOS's autocorrect.

Boost. I thought that one was pretty good but apparently not?
Yeah, our company has been meaning to transition to them for a while. I started saying Jsdoc comments but people complained about the pollution. Then I said fine, we'll do TypeScript one day instead.
That one day has yet to come. I don't actually get to decide much at this company, after all. Aah, technical debt.
Has something in particular been happening lately? I feel like Ubisoft has sucked for quite a while, but their stock price was fine until relatively recently, right?
When someone links a community like this, how can I... Join it?
If I click the link, it leaves the Lemmy app to go to my browser, and I can't really do much about that because my account isn't on ani.social.
This time I just went and searched for nokotan in communities and joined that, but... Surely that's not the way?
Nope, don't need to. WebStorm can even detect nonexistent attributes for objects whose format the back-end decides, and tbh I'm not sure what sort of sorcery it uses.
Windows. Can't be arsed to deal with Linux.
All the time. It's basically the only way I open the Start menu. And I use Windows key shortcuts like Win+Alt+K really often.
I mean she's a teacher. A very hard job with lots of unpaid work that often offers downright sad wages.
Being unable to support oneself despite a full-time job is a more and more common thing in our world.
I've tried it. There were three issues:
- Mouse movement was pretty choppy. Not exactly a dealbreaker, but it took a little extra effort to aim at buttons.
- There wasn't an easy way to do keyboard shortcuts. I googled the issue and people were suggesting to change the system keyboard to one that includes extra keys like Windows, Ctrl, etc. I really didn't want to deal with that.
- The interface was pretty hard to navigate. In the absence of extra keyboard keys, I looked into creating a custom script in the app to maybe do things like Alt+tab a different way, and I never found it. Both apps said it had to be configured on the other device.
Yeah I wish they were still adding new features and stuff. But I haven't found a better alternative yet, so I guess that's what we have.
For now. I suspect some evil person will eventually think of baking in default ads for when it can't connect to the network to get new ones.
