Is there a good 2nd hand market beside FB now? We are buying our first house and will be needing some stuff once we move in. My account is long gone and my wife's is deactivated, close to closing it out. We have some good antique and thrifts around us, but my SIL gets killer deals on FB market.

Late response now that I have some more money to work with but thanks! Tbh most of my tools are harbor freight and I don't think I need anything else for my usecase. Grandpa bought a dewalt set as he's tearing his deck down to build a pavilion. He told me to stop buying stuff and handed me a 70s craftsman tool box filled with most stuff I need and said to just use his power tools

I just had to use my job's OEM device to connect to our new contactor's site since it doesn't work with my machines for some reason (standard deb stable and a popos machine). When I boot into it the lock screen was so overwhelming with weather info, news and other junk I just had to laugh. Its crazy how much junk you need to disable to have a usable device. I haven't really seen vanilla windows for awhile, but it seemed like Vegas slot machine with how many notifications I was getting.

Yesterday I type "what" into my search engine and within the top 5 was "what is a tariff". Import tax would make too much sense and people wouldn't stand behind it if it was referred to as such.

I get that tariff is the correct word and I understand what they are, but I am sure people like my dipshit cousins had no clue until a few days ago.

Why does the drive thru operator change back and forth during my order? (midwest.social)
 

I just had two people take my order in a drive thru. They alternated every question. First person welcomed me and asked what I wanted. The next person asked what size and drink I wanted. The first person came back on and asked if I wanted any cheese sauce then the second person came back on and told me the price. When I got up to the window the 2nd person was the one working the register. This happens from time to time at different places when I get lunch but I can't figure out why it is done.

I am wanting to start to get back into physical comics but I'm not really interested in single issues if it's been collected. I know the printing process is expensive but fuck I cant really pay $100+ for a new Doom Patrol omnibus. My LCS doesn't carry used collected books and eBay sellers are hit or miss when it comes to pricing. Is there any sellers/sites you go to for collected books? I've used instocktrades a few times and haven't had any issues, but I want more options.

Also if anyone knows of a book resell store that carries comics in STL let me know. I used to work for a book warehouse here were I could snag stuff for pennies, but it seems like they got bought out and aren't carrying comics anymore.

Hey, looking to get my nose pierced sometime in the next few weeks and I am pretty lost. Never had any tattoos or piercings but I want it done correctly. Is there any shops I should go to OR any shops I should avoid? It seems like it is a pretty simple process but I'm a body mod virgin and want to make sure it's done right.
