What would be the difference of running this as opposed to pf/opnsense? I know they use FreeBSD but I am not that versed in BSD based networking

Wow you actually wasted time typing up a response
I first felt like I was missing on news for my niche hobbies but just started going sites directly for news (testing an rss reader this week for the first time in over a decade so that might change). Besides that just looking at the default hot or rising threads hit a lot of what I'm looking for with good discussions.

Yeah DIY seems to be the way to go when it comes to IH. I have a tad of soldering experience but it seems like there are a lot of kits that are solderless.
I have a Dynavap M that needs a new cap and was thinking of getting the IH wand soon. I just got an adapter for my bong this weekend and its better than I thought it would be.
