It makes the choices look strange though. You see the Google suggestions and the Apple suggestions even though those aren't the default. This is that walled garden in action on both Apple and Google's side.
And unlike Russia, they were successful
This really helps me understand the situation better. I appreciate the time and thought put into this response. It's times like these I am thankful I didn't overspend. I listened to my parents and bought a house that wasn't flashy but was suitable for my situation. Most people I know did not do that, and I constantly wonder how they are making ends meet. Some of them make less than I do.

Can I ask what phone you are using and what SD card you have? Did you get a fast writing SD card?
This is exactly my use case. Get free rewards but treat it like a debit card. Don't spend more than you couldn't pay back by the end of the month and you get free perks like cash back or airline points for travel.
I was hoping this would come out like a Nexus price-wise and was very disappointed when it came out.
I want to buy one, but I don't think it's worth the current price
Side note - Firefox for Android recently freezes and crashes when you use the Google search in the private view. Also seems intentional
I am! I think this is intentional on both Apple and Google to force you to use their apps
