I picked up uke super fast, much easier than guitar since it’s only got 4 strings and they’re often nylon or whatever and not metal. Not great at it, takes a while to freestyle, but the basic chords are simple, and there’s a few channels on YouTube that put out four chord songs. Also fairly cheap, I started on a $50 one that wasn’t great but passable, and upgraded later to Enya for like $130 and that works just fine

A guy I worked with, not even super closely, left me a handwritten card when he moved on saying it was a pleasure working with me. I did not expect it and almost certainly didn’t deserve it but I still have that card somewhere.

I wish my town did that. I collect a lot for recycling anyways but I have to take it someplace to get rid of it.

I don’t quite understand this picture but I am definitely amused by it

I feel like ACO has a lot of fluff & repetitive gameplay but I played it for over 400 hours so I can say I enjoyed it 😬 it feels like going outside without having to

Maybe OP was low on the priority list for computing power? Idk how this stuff works

Heard from a local cop that it had something to do with the union. If the department wants to implement a standard the union would require something or other. Something about an incentive? I didn’t get the whole picture obviously. I know police need unions in case somebody sues them but does seem kind of dumb that it’s so difficult to enforce a physical standard.

Came here to say this. There’s even been movements like you find in the book Rebooting Justice to try and essentially digitize menial legal matters so that lawyers just have to put the finishing touches on them. I wonder how involved AI will get in the next 5-10 years.

Also 2nd the point on choosing not to exercise certain rights. You have the right to free speech but you may not feel like talking, etc

Respectfully I’d disagree. I can’t scroll through most of my meme or shitposting communities without seeing some politically flavored post, and there’s some kind of political comment on probably 85% of those posts. I get politics is an important topic but people often don’t have the class to keep politics out of the more “fun” communities. I keep to my subscribed list, block the spammers, but it’s fairly pervasive. I suppose that’s not all a bad thing as I get on social media a lot less atm. If you’ve got any additional tips though I’d love to hear them.

This is how I do it- my folders and files are super easy to find

Or converted it from PDF to Word.

*Probably because the question is political in nature and people are fed up of seeing it outside of political subs. I know this is nostupidquestions but during (American) election season especially it’s somewhat an etiquette to exercise political hygiene.

Hey guys! I’m looking for an EDC light that’s 800+ (pref 1000+) lumens, tailcap switch, rechargeable via mini USB or USB-C, and less than $50– is that price point delusional?
The closest I’ve gotten is the Wurkkos FC11 but that’s a little too large for my pocket and doesn’t have the tailcap switch (which means it turns on in my pocket sometimes and I can’t turn it on as quick when I grab it). My use case is obviously flashlighty stuff but an important use for me is that it’s part of my self defense layering.

Lumintop has a “Tool AA 2.0 EDC” that is about the perfect shape (fits in my fist- not square, knobby, or fat) and size (3.52*0.73 inch), but it’s not rechargeable, not as bright as the Wurkkos (but still bright at 650 lumens), and I don’t need its 5 different light modes to cycle through if I accidentally tap the back during use. Still would recommend the light, and I thought about getting a USB-C rechargeable AA for it, but as previously stated I’d really like something a little brighter and ideally a better tailcap switch.

I browsed the forum, and I saw a couple posts about the Wurkkos TS10. It’s kind of similar in size to another light I have and is a little fat for what I’m looking for. I think the FC11 is as thick or a little thinner, and still a bit big for what I’m looking for. May still try the TS10 if I can’t find anything else. I’d still consider stuff outside of the $50 price range but I really want something inside if at all possible.
