I've never done it but just did for shits and giggles. I wouldn't call my name common, but there are social media profiles with the same name but not me. And my name twin is also a nurse but in the UK by the looks of it. Weird.
Mine are from the Dandenong market. I get around 12 months of reasonably heavy wear. Then they become my 'run outside and grab wood/mail/nothing too strenuous pair'.

They know. I have one love bug, one standoffish queen and a sometimes spicy sausage. During the day its usually hands off the two girls, but they take turns to sleep with me at night.
Vaseline and a cotton bud is what goes in this house.
I've had to stop plucking the greys out of my eyebrows or I'd have no eyebrows left. Not a single grey in my hair though.
