Like in the 1990s?

Maybe "economic populism" or "economic-conscious", perhaps?

  1. If so, then what's radicalizing like?

  2. To be honest, I think the best time the US should've become a socialist country would be during the Great Depression - the economy was going down the toilet and people are waiting to get by, but it's gonna require word-of-mouth, an aversion of the Red Scares and such. The alternate history story "Reds! A Revolutionary Timeline" (wiki here) would probably give you an idea on what would that be like.

What about market socialism? A market economy should be necessary in the transitional stage between capitalism and communism (or a socialist-democratic dictatorship of the proletariat, if you prefer).

It's okay, the snow has melted hours later. I still wish it still snows in Kentucky, though.

Well I think that the people should own the means of production under a market economy (as long as no one's getting hurt) - that's how I'd describe libertarian market socialism which can be seen as a revisionist-type form of socialism (or a variant of Mutualism).

The more those metaphorical leopards eat their face, the more radicalized against Trump they might become, and the more radicalized, the better.

All I can say to that small business owner is that they clearly are starting to come a loooooooooooong long way. https://redsails.org/

In Kentucky, it snows sometimes in the winter - just earlier today this morning it snowed a lot, and I mean A LOT a lot.

So how do you think we should radicalize them to socialism? We can do a class consciousness platform. It worked for Zohran in New York.

ICE agents skid on ice

cross-posted from: https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/post/61310940

With the ICE shootings happening in the US (including the tragic death of a lady in Minneapolis named Renee), do you think we need more self-defense (or community defense organizing) classes now more than ever (and fast)?

I got banned from posting on Lemmy.ml, so I post this to the Beehaw Socialism community.

Aaaaaaand I just got banned from NOT one, NOT two, NOT three, but four Lemmy.ml communities. Is this a sign I have to start studying and reading up on theory?

Also, I know some Lemmy.ml mods is gonna say that "you wouldn't get banned from these communities had you read your theory!" like they're teachers demanding students to eat their meat before they can have their pudding (because how can you have your pudding when you don't eat your meat?)

Now I support the idea of socialism (I'm more of a market socialist), and I'm NOT against the idea of actually existing socialist countries (ie: China, Cuba, Vietnam, Laos and the DPRK). That said, I think Lemmy.ml should be more open to different forms of socialism, as well as the Marxist Leninists who DOESN'T have to support Stalin (and his bureaucratic and polarizing practices while General Secretary of the CPSU) to support ML.

I am very bummed that I CAN'T respond in these communities - that said, I can subscribe to different versions of these communities that happened to be in different Lemmy instances (other than Lemmy.ml):

Someone should make another Lemmy support community here in this instance

That song is pretty good

Does this even as political humor (as that sketch is a parody of news)

Just recently, I got banned from Lemmy.ml because they thought I was "trolling" using an LLM. Let me clarify to any Lemmy.ml mods reading this that I'm not using an LLM for my comments. I am a human being who actually has autism which is why I type like this.

Sometimes I post so much so fast that I get a "too many requests" error before I get to post the next comment - in these cases, that's my cue to cool down for a bit, and then post my comments from my "queue" (I leave the comments unposted until I post them) after a certain period of time.

I just submitted a message like this on the Lemmy Matrix chat (through Cinny - pretty good software) as my ban appeal- I then got a reply saying "mods DON'T hang out here - just message them from the sidebar" which I will do after posting this.
