I have said it before and I will say it again: Biden is going to win the election.
If you have any doubt about that, you’re going to find out how American “democracy” works this November.

That’s the compromise. Biden lets UAW have a small win but they have to promise not to disturb his second term of presidency.
Anyone who thinks you have to “wait” 5 years because there is already a contract in place doesn’t understand the history of labor movement, doesn’t understand how general strike works at all. This is just giving the bourgeosie all the time they needed to crush the next wave of labor strikes.
Biomedical research
Meanwhile China is throwing hundreds of millions into new research institutions to attract people into science.
This is very true. Was just talking to a friend the other day who went back to China after running a lab for nearly a decade in the US.
Some interesting tidbits:
The attitude between American Gen Z and their Chinese counterparts is night and day. He complained about the fact that the quality of his graduate students has gotten significantly worse over time. Even a decade ago, the millennial kids were still rather passionate about science and put in an effort to impress, these days the Gen Z kids straight up showed very little passion about what they’re doing, one of his students literally left the lab during the middle of the day to “go home to play video games”. Incidentally, the best students were foreign students who came from outside of Western countries.
In China it couldn’t have been more different. Young graduate students would work 6-7 days a week, many are full of curiosity, all very keen to learn more about the science they are doing. Some labs in China have their lab meetings held on Sunday! Imagine doing that in the US lol.
There is no way the US can catch up with China over the next 1-2 decades. In fact, it is already falling behind in terms of scientific output. Like, how are you ever going to compete with them?
It’s called the Inverse Power Law.
Yes, the debt becomes more expensive because of higher interest rates.
The US can just keep printing money. For example, short term T-bills that matured ($1T interest payment in last year alone) became free money in the economy, some of which will be used to spend overseas, in terms of import and investment. Everyone will welcome foreign investment who brings dollars into their country, except for countries who have been banned from the club, like Russia.
The US also signed the foreign aid bill to give $60 billion to Ukraine. That’s free dollars for Ukraine, who will then use those money to buy stuff from other countries, like Europe. Europe then uses those money to import American oil and gas. The money all goes back to the US eventually, and the US gets to assert control over the world trade in such perpetual loop.
Bilateral trading is simply to add an additional layer of security so your foreign reserves aren’t as easily confiscated by the US.
The question eventually comes down to: which currency do you want to save in? And even if you want to save in RMB, where are you going to find the RMB?
China is a super net exporter country. Just look at the China’s trade balances, the only countries that earn significant amount of RMB are Japan, South Korea, Australia, Brazil, Switzerland, Saudi Arabia. Literally 5 of the 6 countries above are US allies, which means that while they would keep a good amount of RMB to diversify their foreign holdings, they are not going to play any useful role in de-dollarization.
Yeah he gave a speech to the Houthis in Yemen as well. Whoever his agent is, must have some deep connections.
If you watch the video (I didn’t go beyond the first 10 minutes because his talking points are too stupid) it’s clear that people are curious about communist movements in America who are pro-China/Russia and anti-imperialist.
The fact that literally no one in the Western leftist “online commentator” sphere can take up that role, so it went to a grifter, is telling.

Fucking kill me! How the fuck did this right wing grifter keep getting platformed on respected left wing circles? These are people who were good friends with the late Samir Amin, you know, one of the most respected Marxist political scientists of all time, now they’re platforming a right-wing “MAGA communist”.
This guy is 100% a fed. 100%!
It’s irrelevant now.
Biden has a report card of his performance over the past 4 years. Trump wants to stop the funding to Ukraine and there is no way the bourgeosie is going to let him win because of that.
The problem for Biden is the concern about his senility and degradation of cognitive ability. He needed a good debate performance to prove that he is still mentally capable.
But other than that, Biden is still preferred over Trump because he’s the one who proved capable of getting the money out. The only thing that Trump has going for him was his massive tax cuts but that pales in comparison to the cheat code that Biden has found in Ukraine, which allows him to launder an infinite amount of money legally as long as the American people sympathize with Ukraine getting invaded.
