I used a VPN yesterday to see how it looks in the UK. Seems a lot of porn sites don't give a shit about UK and don't require any verification. So once again, the law abiding sites are punished while kids are pushed towards the lawless ones. As predicted.

Posted on an article about an app encouraging different users to upload info about you without your consent. Yes, really simple.
There are no very clear reasons to distrust proton, but is it just me that finds them releasing a 2FA app kinda disturbing? Like, why waste the resources? What could they do better than Aegis, which is already FOSS and privacy preserving? If there is no reason, than I have to wonder if the hidden reason is to get more data into their ecosystem. Which a privacy focused company shouldn't care about.
I am probably just paranoid but I don't trust Proton.
No. Even if EU went full on dictator and tried, how would they get the sourcode? :D Unless the US would force Microsoft to hand it over, it would not happen.
This has been the case for a long time, so suddenly you have apps like Tea that encourage you to upload info of other people. So now even the few that take care not to upload their info can be nicely monitored. And the Gestapo does not even need to pay their informants for it.
Fuck. You are right, my apologies.
Wrong. Join. Refuse to do anything but stall getting fired for as long as possible. You get more money. Government gets delayed from hiring a Nazi replacement for you. Bonus points for sabotage like tipping people off about planned raids.
This makes me wonder where else you could donate. You could send money directly to specific candidates, but I wonder if someone trusted like AOC could run a collection and distribute the money to true progressives to replace the DNC, especially for primaries. After all, money is how the DNC remains relevant and hard to replace. It's also the main way they ensure their picks win primaries.
Your goal is reasonable, I don't really disagree. The issue is as mentioned, that these people don't keep their money as cash, so cash expiring would not take their wealth away, just like inflation doesn't right now.
We would probably need inheritance tax or something like that.
Sure. But please, if preventing hording cash is not what you want to achieve, please explain what issue you are trying to solve. And if it is, why do you believe people do hoard cash despite inflation? I think that is what I don't understand.
What are you talking about? What do I think is fine? And how am I not engaging?
Targeting civilians is the poster child of war crimes.
You can bomb soldiers. You can bomb soldiers mixed with civilians. You can even bomb civilians making weapons in a factory. But you can't just starve and bomb civilians for no reason. And you can't bomb 100 civilians because there is 1 suspected fighter. Has to be proportional.
