Ooh yeah, could be a set up or something to take control of the narrative. There's a lot of variations on that suggestion with potential too.
Doubledee
People say stuff like this and I get real "I'm never gonna be able to afford a house" vibes every time.
My job is like an afternoon shift, I get home early in the morning like if I stayed up late, not really a full night shift, and that's been okay. You end up with the middle of the day free to get stuff done if you go to bed right when you get home. Not the worst shift I've worked.
Lol oh shit, I'm only just now seeing what you guys are all commenting on about my danged screenshot. Woops.
Hopefully we have fortified the lines for the renewed posting wars then.
I'm old enough to remember it being a bad thing to shut down immigration until we can figure out "what the hell is going on"
I pinky promise, man. Let me sit at the lunch table! C'mon man!
I think there might be a difference between what US officials say and what is actually true. They're having a real hard time meeting recruiting quotas. Plus recent invasions haven't really supported the idea that the US is able to win invasions it starts.
They need something to run on, I think. Abortion is a losing issue that Trump doesn't care about, this and the border stuff are attempts to spin up issues they can run on besides culture war bromides.
Yeah but they're trying that. The Saudis tried that for like a decade before they started. It's harder than it appears to bomb a nation into submission.
Edit: just in case someone says some genocidal thing about collectively punishing an entire ethnic group, if you're from certain communities in the fediverse I probably can't see your comments, but that would obviously be a horrific crime to actually do.
I don't think so, I think what he means is that the value being added by labor remains constant. If one laborer is suddenly producing 6 times more product each one is proportionally growing less in value than before because less socially necessary labor time is required to make it. So labor remains constant insofar as it's an average of the time it takes to make or do something useful. The surplus value is coming from the same source in both cases and isn't changing with the other factors.
That makes sense. I've been trying to figure out how to run the strike if it ends up taking a long time, I'm worried it might get boring for the party.
