Is the video sped up and Norm just talks super slow or does Mr. Borelli just talk that fast? How do you become a famous internet personality for talking if you sound like that? Voice modulation software?

At least that means they will stop using the "wE can PuSh HiM lEfT" line they kept trotting out last tune around, it's too incredible for even them to believe. I very much prefer him running with no platform and just shrugging off questions about why anyone should do this again. It's more honest at least.

It's extra sad because no matter how transparently they sell out their ostensibly liberal principles the libs will crawl out of the woodwork to scold you for remembering what they used to say and wanting literally ANYTHING from these fucks.

It was less than election cycle ago that Trump saying these exact things and wanting these same policies were reasons to vote for Joe. Because who would allow someone who wants to shut down the border "so we can figure out what the hell is going on" to become president?

Yeah for sure, I get that. Not sure if the kids will but you can't control that really.

Because humans aren't legal or illegal? Because it's exclusively applied in a us-foreign-policy way to people who resemble a certain ethnicity? Because it's dehumanizing language that works to subconsciously justify treating them as criminals even if they didn't do anything wrong?

It's language used to criticize an entire group of people out of hand.

Related, Bandit and Chili appear to work light jobs that barely take any of their time and leave them fresh to pour unlimited attention onto their kids throughout the entire episode. As a worker splitting parenting with my spouse across day and night shifts I think this might give our kids unrealistic expectations of our ability to stop what we are doing and follow their ideas wherever they are leading.

Not that it isn't aspirational. But I personally can't be as good as Chili and Bandit appear to be.

Maybe you know a different type of conservative but the ones I know are not big fans of gentle parenting and absolute insistence on non-violent ways to address a child's behavior. They say things about the importance of discipline and such. This might be more of an American evangelical conservative thing though.

I have personally seen these people losing their minds over Bandit and his brother having a fake gay horse wedding.

I cannot for the life of me persuade my spouse that we should not go there. The prices are absurd but they like the soup and special coffee too much.

To be fair they occupy a pretty small niche as far as soup goes. Any other Cafe you would get soup in is probably gonna gouge you just as badly.

I think there's a much smaller pool of people competent to have a real discussion about specs and hardware and engineering. Speaking for myself I enjoy reading things like that but I am in no position to either critically analyze it or engage in a way that adds anything.
