"It's vital to the economy that we keep building homes Canadians can't afford."

Nothing in the US will ever return to "status quo". Their democracy is broken, 30% of them believe that Trump was chosen by god. They will either continue on their path to becoming a white Christian nationalist authoritarian state, or the people will rise and create an actual democracy based on humanity instead of wealth.

My bet is on the former.

Privacy services tend to be based in European countries because they have stronger data privacy laws and insulation from court orders etc.

Not a standard, so much as a monopoly that charges all Canadian shoppers a hidden tax no matter how they pay.

Jesus, what's wrong with these people?

In Canada, if you want to exploit and underpay foreign workers who don't know their rights and fear deportation , just join the Temporary Foreign Worker program.

Bravo, Americans. What a sad banana republic you have become.

Cool story. Now pay your workers a living wage and get them health benefits.

This may or may not have legal weight, but I think that what this really does is put the forestry companies on notice to expect road blocks or similar action on their territory.

"Prices have come down relative to inflation" might sound reasonable, but it's a lie. Unit prices come down in all growing industries, as market base grows and economies of scale improve, more people train for careers in the field bring reduces labour competiton and therefore wages. They also aren't costing in micro-transactions.

The bigger the studio and the more sales they achieve, the lower their costs ... indies and small studios no doubt need to charge a higher price; but studios like 2K and EA could obviously be charging less.

Sure, I mean look how well we've done managing alcohol, zero social harm!

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I would argue for a slow approach to this one... and against handing it over to foreign companies.

People who are too dumb to understand the situation they are protesting. When RFK agrees with you, you should know you're on a whacko.
