Bruh wtf. It would've cost you $0.00 to not be a weird dork with his mind in the gutter in this comment section. Be better next time.

Motherfucker I don't give a fuck whether you're a professional artist or a literal child drawing the most dogshit scribbles imaginable, I STILL prefer that over the most refined AI Slop that could possibly be generated. Its not ABOUT the technical skill on display, it's about the sheer fact that YOU, a REAL, PHYSICAL PERSON, picked up the tools and decided to TRY. That alone is what's worthy of commendation, not the fact that AI can shit out generically hot anime waifus in .0032 seconds.

Or you could pick up a pencil and put it to paper, actually expressing what's in your soul through your own efforts. I know which one I'd prefer to look at.

Also, saying AI "Democratizes art" ignores several million years of people making art with whatever was on hand, whether that be 3D modeling software, or charcoal on a cave wall. Art has always been Democratic and Free; AI, notably, isn't.

CLEARLY the intensifying hurricanes and rising water levels are the work of THE WOKE LEFT and their EVIL WEATHER WEAPONS powered by JEWISH MAGIC SPACE LASERS!!!

Florida is falling apart and sinking into the ocean, and it's their own damn fault. Insurance is no longer covering storms and flooding because both are getting SO common and SO extreme that by the time they've finalized payment for one case, the same party has filed 3 more. This is further exasperated by the rampant suburban sprawl Florida is known for, as they bulldozed and developed the coastal flood zones (read: the everglades, the swamps, the coves and inlets, all the little islands and water features that help mitigate storm damage) in order to build more fucking McMansion neighborhoods for retiring Boomers, only for them to get washed away in the next storm. Add on to this an openly Fascist and anti-urban development/public infrastructure (except highways, always more money for highways! Just one more lane bro, we promise!) government, and you get Modern Florida.

Honestly, the best thing that could happen for Florida is if everyone left it, and they ceded it back to the wildlife. We failed, give it up, and move on.

Very nice! Especially for a first attempt, that looks great. Keep at it, you'll be making sourdough in no time.

I propose 'Crossies', since they worship their dead idol on the cross.

4'10"??? Ouch.

Saw some great riding, some cool bikes and cars, and will definitely come back again.

Looks like he's regrowing a leg!

Can't wait for my ankle to heal up so I can take this beauty for a spin.

Original post HERE.

Hey all, just thought I'd post an update. Sad to say it, but insurance has written my bike off as a Total Loss. The front end is mangled just enough that their inspector said frame damage was basically guaranteed around the steering column. It's a bleeding tragedy, but my bike is off to the great Hog Meet in the Sky.

As for me, I'm handling it as best I can. Ankle is healing up, and my shoulder is almost back to normal. Yippee! I'll be buying a new bike sometime this week, a 2012 VStrom with some 30K miles on it, for $2500 from a friend. As much as I wish I could keep it, this is the end of the road for my SR400.

Finally, I'd again like to remind people to wear All The Gear, All The Time. Even with everything that's happened, I got off easy because my gear saved me. Wear the gear, even if it looks silly, because it'll help save your life.

Making bread tonight, and it rose really well!

Was cruising with my riding group in Virginia, when I took a curve too fast, too wide. Ended up in the hospital, with a broken ankle and badly bruised shoulder.

It could've been worse. FAR worse. Thankfully, I subscribe to ATGATT, and made it out with relatively minor injuries. If you, or anyone you know, thinks it's OK to skimp on riding gear, let this be the reminder you need to hear: it isn't, and WHEN you crash, not if, you will regret not wearing proper gear.

Stay safe on the roads, Lemmy riders.

Made in my conventional oven, 550F for 11 minutes, using a pizza stone. Pineapple, jalapenos, pepperoni, and some pineapple/jalapeño hot honey for toppings. Recipe for the dough.
