I don't know what's funnier about this comment section... The people who seem to absolutely despise milk, or the big milk shills downvoting them all into oblivion.

Basically it means that you can return whatever verdict you want as long as you don't say something stupid like "I don't actually believe this by the way."

It's comments like these that make me wish lemmy had a react feature. Perfect place to drop one of these suckers: โ™ฅ๏ธ

I guess I wasn't specific enough. ๐Ÿ˜… Borderline is kind of just difficult to treat; what I said was my attempt at explaining why. At least, as I understand it. Yes, therapists can give you very useful skills and knowledge; not knocking them at all. (Ok maybe a little. One of them did have me kidnapped...)

But ultimately what people with BPD need is a healthy relationship, and that's just not something a therapist can provide. (Unless they want to lose their license I guess. ๐Ÿคท)

But anyway thanks for the kind words. :)

You know, I've heard that the barter system, as a foundation of economics, is essentially made up. Like, obviously people barter, but the idea that it was a universal precursor to money was essentially invented by capitalists in the industrial era, who never could have dreamed of the myriad interesting ways thar people distributed wealth!

Apparently one of the more common ones was a sort of "gifting" system, where people just gave each other what they needed. ๐Ÿคท But of course this wasn't universal either.

So I guess my parents are getting divorced for real this time. I've only gotten like 3 hours of sleep in the last two days, and now I'm sitting wondering if I have the strength to call my dad, who will probably die of sheer heartbreak either way.

Meanwhile, my mom is trying to use chatgpt to convince me that she's completely faultless and my dad is the root of all of this family's problems. ๐Ÿ™„

And I wonder if I should bother explaining to her why LLMs can't be trusted and that chatgpt in particular is a yes-man, or if I should just block her and move on, knowing that she'd rather take advice from a robot than her own freaking son.

So I get on lemmy to doomscroll a bit, and end up explaining to someone how to verify if a cop is real or not, only for some jerk to interject with a complete non-sequitur. I figured it was obvious trolling so I gave them words, but now I have a bunch of down votes so I guess I played that wrong idk.

Apologies to my clothes rack, which now finally needs to be replaced after being the victim of my rage like 6 times since I got it...

(And I don't think therapy can help, by the way. How's a person supposed to resolve trust issues when you're paying them to talk to you? And yea I've been.)

Anyway I was gonna wait for lemm.ee to shutdown to force me to stop using this place but idk I might just delete it today. Idk what I'll do instead but maybe watching paint dry isn't as bad as people make it out to be...

Anyway thanks all for listening, I hope you're having a better day than I am. ๐Ÿซถ

I think I understand; you don't want your friend to see you at your worst. I hope that since you posted this you've gotten better self esteem at your job. ๐Ÿซถ

The truth is always important.

That's what the call is for- you ask the local office if they can confirm that that officer is actually on patrol, exists, etc. Idk how that would work for ICE though; I don't think you can just call up the federal ICE headquarters.

Man, what is it with Israel and bombing hospitals?

I remember watching a Simpsons episode about how deadly big cars are back when I was like, young. At least 15 years ago. We've known this for so long, how is it so difficult to just set a maximum height commuter vehicles?

(It's a rhetorical question, but it anyone has an actual answer then count me curious.)

Honestly I wonder if maybe some of those comments are bots.
