It's probably low priority, because it would be a rarely-used but relatively complex feature that requires mainenance. Think of community maintenance also. I'd see no real need for it, as that can be done through the website just as easily. My personal opinion.
I actually think it might be an idea to seriously consider and discuss. I mean, awards and badges of honour are given by many communities, there's no real reason why not to honour someone if they did some much-appreciated thing. It only becomes difficult when the honouring is being done by some questionable "authority". Boils down to, "who would be the authority here?" -- But having (meaningful) badges to give away, and especially if they can be passed on, which are understood as what they are, that is just some electric patterns in computers which we interpret in a certain way, why not. This can be a way of community financing -- see it as wealth redistribution. "So i have some money which i want to put into the community, and i get visibly honoured for it, and i can pass that non-thing on, that's a virtual incentive!"

Font size mismatch has been fixed with the last update.
I agree, it has too much whitespace. But it seems it's done with portrait handheld users in mind. I practically always use it in landscape mode where there is yet more empty space.

Which version is yours? Can confirm in 0.0.33. Look and Feel doesn't scroll, About doesn't scroll.
Complex subject in my case. First thing would be to actually have money for such things. And not being forced back into an environment that increasingly makes me sick by such a thing, and forcing me into that pathologic path. ... But one would need to know more about me. I'm really having a very special life, believe me! :-D
