I mean come on, he only owns like three houses or something and one isn't even worth a million. He is clearly suffering.

You still need a place to live. Tell me, what happens when the cost of buying property goes up, if you're a renter? Where does the extra money you have go spend on housing come from?
I guess I wouldn't care as much if I were a rich politician either.
Allow the housing interest rate to more than double? I don't need any more of that thanks.
I mean, dude currently lives in public housing, what more do you want? (I kid)
Couldn't get to the market to get my copy, gas is about $57554.66 a gallon.
Yeah, at this point I'm losing track. Gotta love how the "good guys" stand idle and let people get slaughtered.
Hmm , in 2020 the interest rates for buying a house was around 3.1%, now it's around 6.8%. When we're pricing people out of the ability to afford housing (interest rates going up affects rent prices too, who knew) people will be rather upset... especially given that they see little to no benefit from this "good economy" given the layoffs in certain sectors, the gas prices being over 9000, and not one, but two wars abroad where at least one of the parties in each is perfectly fine targeting civilians.
But hey, at least Google and Amazon are raking in the profits, I guess.
Given that Tiktok is a corporation with likely ties to a government that is not particularly fond of protest, perhaps it is not the best place to find protest music. Having said that, Muse continues to make protest music as they always have. I suppose the problem is that protest music doesn't often get included on music platforms, leaving us with a sanitized version of the musical landscape.
Saying that "Lemmy" is an echo chamber is a bit ignorant. Lemmy is a platform; it can he used to spin up an instance with whatever values you like. The fediverse is the same. So saying Lemmy is an echo chamber is a bit like boycotting wood because a politician you dislike stood on a stage to speak.
Having said that, there are instances with heavy political biases. You can block those from your instance and you can block them from you feed.
Gotta say, I'm not a... fan.
As soon as the system doesn't shitcall over anyone who isn't the anointed from the elite reds and blues, I suppose. Maybe next run of this simulated world?
Yes, that $40 off a month is doing a lot to make up for the explosive increases we've seen. And I'm sure that spike in interest rates will have no long lasting effects.
Landlords do not eat the cost, nor do they often lower rent if they can get away with charging the same or more. "Due to lower expenses on our side, we are dropping rent by 5%" said very few landlords ever, except in fantasy land.
Biden do be out of touch.
