Possibly. But wire cutters exist. Installing custom firmware for a car seems unnecessarily dangerous. Just remove the fuse, cut a wire or go to a local shop and get the comms system disabled.

Our consciousness has developed by chance. We were not made by another conscious species, we did not make ourselves conscious. We are feeding in enourmous amounts of data into neural networks using different methods. Our nervous system does not differ much from a neural network and with the right conditions, the resulting model may have a consciousness. Those conditions are not known to us, so we try again and again and again until, by pure chance, we get a network that is self aware. I suspect that, the higher the complexity of the network, the higher the chance for something similar to our consciousness to develop.

With this, our current approach is entropy. Get as many differing conditions as possible and mash em together. It may spiral into consciousness.

Entropy my friend

Of course I recognize the idfference. And I hate brave for somewhat abusing their users like they do. Still, that is not what op said. I won't repeat it again, but that fundamental difference you are speaking of was not highlighted by them. Possibly leading other people to believe that cryptocurrency is bad to use as a whole, which as yourself has said is not right if one repsects privacy.

And of course, my mistake. Didn't mean to falsely accuse you.

How did I make a false equivalency when the op literally called any project that "dabbles in crypto" a possible scam? That includes Signal as well as Mullvad. Op's comment does not in any way indicate the use of one's own currency, simply abolishing all services using crypto.

Well then maybe don't call anyone who "dabbles in crypto" sketchy

Why would you watch popcorn. Just eat it.

Those industries are under the might of the EU. They have no problem at all using that power and they regularly do.

I just said I agreed

You are indeed correct. Whoops.
