There is no widely-accepted definition of "mass shooting" and different organizations tracking such incidents use different definitions. Definitions of mass shootings exclude warfare and sometimes exclude instances of gang violence, armed robberies, and familicides. The perpetrator of an ongoing mass shooting may be referred to as an active shooter.

In the United States, the country with the most mass shootings, the Investigative Assistance for Violent Crimes Act of 2012 defines mass killings as three or more killings in a single incident.[1] A Congressional Research Service report from 2013 specifies four or more killings on indiscriminate victims while excluding violence committed as a means to an end, such as robbery or terrorism.[2] Media outlets such as CNN and some crime violence research groups such as the Gun Violence Archive define mass shootings as involving "four or more shot (injured or killed) in a single incident, at the same general time and location, not including the shooter".[3] Mother Jones magazine defines mass shootings as indiscriminate rampages killing three or more individuals excluding the perpetrator, gang violence, and armed robbery.[4][5] An Australian study from 2006 specifies five individuals killed.[6]

there is no one definition

right middlel: you determine the value rolled based on the number on the bottom.

right bottom: you determine the value rolled by deciding which number you like best.

[–] Dax87@forum.stellarcastle.net 12 points 2 years ago (3 children)

my dog wont eat her treat until we come back home. which used to work until we got another dog who did not have this issue

in my experience, ive had to remind a lot of my IT colleagues to have empathy, and quite often.

also, what may be natural to you isnt necessairly easy for others.

i accidentally deleted instead of edited my coment:

original:

i dont agree. thats not about technology. thats about the people at a tech-related loction not being able to eat. thats the lacroix of tech news if anything.

i think id be fine with even something like this or even this musk news if it wasnt in such high volume from something so indirect to actual technology posts. the frequency of these is so tiring.

With the multitude of ways to link a remote instance/community/post, I honestly don't know what's the best way to crosspost.

I have yet to play the new season, but have been hearing it's been called "the worst patch in ARPG history," and wanted to know if this is the general consensus.

What is your favorite series?

Happy Monday! We are a small community in search for lemmings out there who have interest in x86 handheld gaming PCs.

The Links

The Deets

For those unaware, x86 is an architecture that is ubiquitous in general computing (home computers, servers, etc) and is where you find most software (and PC gaming) compatibility (Steam, Battle.net, Epic Games Store, etc.). What this means essentially is that these handhelds are gaming computers crammed into the handheld form factor, so you can potentially play all your steam games, EGS games, etc, on the go.

Outside of the Steam Deck and Asus ROG Ally, there are many more other brands, such as GPD, One Netbook, AyaNeo, and even Anbernic, known for their arm-based emulation handhelds, has an x86 gaming handheld with the Win600.

We would like to foser discussion around these devices, celebrate their existance, and keep up to date on all the news surrounding them

So if any of this interests you and want to stay informed on the topic, head on over and join the club!!

Happy Friday! I didn't see any rules for reposting, and since the previous post was about a week ago, I just thought I'd promote our little community one more time.

I created this community because I'm both fascinated and excited to see where the x86 handheld scene is going to go. this community is for news, conversation, etc., all for gaming PCs that are x86 and of the handheld formfactor.

As a fan of Ark Survival Evolved, I've created this community to discuss and celebrate this game. I hope we can foster a large, healthy community here :)
